Professor Jones screened this film for our class as well. With few exceptions, I enjoyed it. I mean, it's about the hardships of a family in the city. Mom's got a job as a waitress, brother's always in trouble, there's another brother who's not all that effectual to the story, and the sister who wants to be a singer. You know it's gotta end with one going up and the other going down. Overall, I recommend it, if not for story, then for the technique.
