Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

7/10

During a fantasy, a man imagines a young woman taking off her bikini top. Her bare breasts are shown. He is presumably masturbating, and is interrupted by the actual girl coming in the room.

A young man and teenage girl kiss (breasts are shown briefly).

A teenage girl teaches another how to give a man oral sex by demonstrating using a carrot whilst eating lunch at the school cafeteria.

Several references of sexual experiences.

Sexual innuendo and flirting.

Both of the lead females in the film are promiscuous.

There are many pictures on walls/lockers of fully nude women, but they are shown from a distance or very quickly.

One of the teenage characters in the film (age 15) is shown having sex, on two separate occasions. Not extremely graphic, but there is some back and leg action shown.

Pussy is written on a bathroom mirror.

Violence & Gore

2/10

Brad threatens somebody.

Damone and Mark nearly get into a fight.

Spicoli hits himself in the head with a shoe.

A man tries to rob Brad at gunpoint while he is at work. When Spicoli unwittingly distracts the would-be robber, Brad splashes hot coffee on the man, causing him to writhe in pain and fall to the floor. Brad then picks up the man's gun and points it at him.

Profanity

5/10

4 uses of "fuck", "motherfucker" used once, and "shit" used four times. A student calls a teacher a "dick," and other students pick up on its usage. The words "prick" and "little prick" are written on the side of a car and on a locker.

5/10

Jeff Spicoli and his friends are said to be stoners and Jeff is seen smoking weed twice in the film and it is implied another two times as we see Jeff and his friends come out of a van with smoke.

Jeff and his friends smoke cigarettes in one scene

1/10

A teenage girl gets pregnant and goes to an abortion clinic to get an abortion. Nothing graphic is shown.

20/50
