For those who think this is a Horror title, think twice before renting or buying it through Amazon or whatever movie distributor.

"Bloody Marlene" is a low budget Western with minimal action but plenty of macho dialogs followed by intense shooting and horses. Yes, the typical Mexican Western.

Hugo Stiglitz and Hèctor Bonilla star in this movie and play perfectly their characters. They are rivals in love and in power. Jorge Russek also delivers a fine performance.

The title is misleading but don't get fooled by it. It's a Western that gets dull when the plot doesn't goes with the flow.

Watch "Bloody Marlene" only if you are hungry of Westerns or if you are fan of Mexican low budget efforts in a long forgotten genre.
