Storyline

This daytime serial dramatized the power struggles and personal machinations between two feuding political families the wealthy Cleggs and middle-class McCandlesses. Storylines developed from the star-crossed romance between Julie Clegg and Tyler McCandless, which re-activated a lifetime feud between their respective families. In the series' final year, the political intrigue expanded internationally, as several characters became involved in the problems of the war-torn, Middle Eastern nation of Baraqu.

Great show

Capitol was the first us daytime soap opera to be shown on RAITV early 1983.It was wildly successful throughout its run in my country.It was a phenomenon like B&B is now over here.It was a shame it was cancelled in the us to make room for B&B.It was re-runned many many times(all the episodes) only on RAITV.
