Special and very natural, 9 June 2016
Author: rodrig58

I really like films with action in jail. Maybe because I was never imprisoned in one, nor I don't want to experience it, I got 1 year and 5 months in the army in 1978 in Bucharest, in communist Romania, which was like a prison. The action of the film does not occur entirely in prison, the protagonist, Georges, is released at the beginning and he's meeting his wife again after two years, and he recalls and recounts how it was in there. He had been jailed for incest with his own daughter, we're not sure if that did really happened until Georges confesses. However, the film is very good, a little boring for some (who just love action movies), because it is only dialogue, but played flawlessly by all actors. Script, direction, everything is top quality, as a slice of life. It's about betrayed love and hate, something that humans, in general, are experts. And selected music is great, Tschaikovsky, Everly Brothers, The Shadows, Fats Domino plus Jacques Brel(my most beloved singer). Worth seeing and reviewed.
