  • Continuity: At the end of the movie, after Copper protects Todd from Amos's gun, you see Copper walking away from the water's edge. One of his footprints appears before his foot is put on the ground.

  • Continuity: After we first see Big Mamma come out of her tree, we see a fox running towards a fence. Behind it on a clothesline, you can see a pair of blue pants hanging. In the next shot it is a blue sheet.

  • Continuity: When Chief runs after Todd, he is dragging his barrel after him, but when the shot goes to Copper, still tied to his own barrel and barking, Chief's barrel is next to his.

  • Continuity: When Amos takes the dogs to go hunting, he unties them from their barrels. But, as they pull away and we see Big Momma land by the barrels, the ropes that are supposed to be tied to them are gone.

  • Continuity: Amos shows up at the wildlife preserve without traps. Yet, when he enters, he has traps thrown over his shoulder.

  • Continuity: We see Amos walking with the traps over his shoulder. He's holding onto them with a leather strap. Yet, when he catches up to Copper, the strap is now a chain.

  • Continuity: Copper sniffs around a small brook. In the next shot, the water's gone.

  • Continuity: Amos drops three traps on the ground by Copper. Yet, when he sets them up, we see five traps. Furthermore, Tod springs about half a dozen traps, and there is one left for Amos to accidentally step into.

  • Continuity: In the scence following Chief's fall off the bridge Amos goes to the widow's house. When she answers the door her hair is visibly brown in color, in all the scences before her hair is grey. This is most noticeable as soon as she closes the door from her confrontation with Amos and stands in front of the mirror. Her hair is again grey .

  • Continuity: Tod's collar disappears and reappears during the night hunt scene.

  • Revealing mistakes: As the train passes over Tod, the animation of the shadow the train casts over the rails can be seen superimposed over him.

  • Continuity: Early in the fight with the bear, Amos Slade lets off a gunshot that grazes the bear's arm. Later in the fight, Copper bites the bear's snout, which leaves several bite marks. Both the gunshot wound and bite marks have disappeared by the time Todd joins the skirmish.

  • Continuity: In the end when the Widow Tweed is wrapping Amos Slade's foot, the bandage is shown to be halfway up his foot. After she tweaks his toe, it shows the bandage to only be wound up to his ankle.
