Storyline

Originally meant to be the pilot for a hopeful new TV series, meant to follow the adventures of a family of aliens trapped on Earth, and the two Earthlings they live with. This pilot opens with a boy and his grandfather struggling to keep their hotel in business. When a UFO passes over the town and crashes nearby, the pair decide to stay home while the rest of the townspeople go investigate. Shortly afterwards, an alien family staggers out of the woods asking for protection from both the mob of civillians and the government agents searching for them. Granddad and grandson agree, disguising the aliens as humans and teaching them how to blend in on Earth. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>

why I liked the film
26 May 1999 | by (Los Angeles, California) – See all my reviews

I was surprised on how bad the reviews were on this movie. When I saw it on television I remember being glued to the set. I always hated my English professor when he points out my errors in writing. Instead of enjoying the story they point out all the technical errors. I believe if you watch the film with the intent on enjoying it, then you will. It's that simple. I especially liked it because the aliens helped Tommy deal with the loss of his parents.
