"Croque La vie" is the story of a threesome,à la "Jules Et Jim" :instead of two men and a woman,we have here two women and a man.It deals with the difficulties of growing up ,in three acts : 1973,1977 and 1981 ,a date when the socialists rose to power and when the heroine Catherine became an Amnesty International activist.
It's not really my cup of tea (Truffaut isn't either) but the actors give the movie substance: Giraudeau has always been one of my favorite French actors and Brigitte "Jeux Interdits" Fossey and Carole Laure are certainly talented actresses.
Best moment: the "slaps game" which begins as a game and ends up as a settling of scores.
