Strange little detective movie with a special main character and a surprising plot full of amazing situations and almost surrealistic scenes. Sacristan is an extravagant man, former detective and closed in a mental hospital who's hired by the police to look for some missing girls in Barcelona. The police takes him into the job by his acknowledge of the underground zones in the city and also a lot of criminals in prisons and asylums. This is not a conventional detective film or a film-noir, is a special character study about a detective in a case that he doesn't want. Jose Sacristan is absolutely wonderful and the end scenes are marvelous.
