Profanity

  • Frequent subtitled profanity. Virtually every word in the book is used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Constant drug use. Young teenagers use LSD, cannabis, angel dust and eventually heroin. We frequently see people injecting drugs and prostituting themselves to pay for their habits. There also a sustained and very disturbing withdrawal sequence in which the characters are seen sweating, shivering and vomiting.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The subject matter of young teenagers using hard drugs is quite disturbing. The scene in which two characters attempt to withdraw from heroin is very disturbing and disgusting to watch as we see them vomiting and sweating profusely. There is also a scene in which a man forcefully shoves a needle into his neck that may disturb some people.
  • *This film is strong, but it is for an audience of teenagers, because it shows the devastating effects of drugs. It's a very educational film, which can be seen from 14 to 17, depending on the maturity.
