Michael and Lisa, both 20, live together for a year and are certain that once they'll marry and have children together. Unfortunately just before they want to move to another town where Mike could get a good job, Lisa discovers that she's pregnant. So she has to decide if she'll tell Michael or have an abortion secretly. If she tells him, she's sure, he'll want to keep the child but later regret it because it ruined their future. Lisa asks her mother for help; surprisingly she learns that her mother once had to make the same decision. She tells us her story. Written by Tom Zoerner <Tom.Zoerner@informatik.uni-erlangen.de>
For a television movie, it was very forthright and honest, didn't flinch from any of the elements of abortion.
Lisa, a college girl, returns home to visit the folks, worried sick because she finds herself pregnant. What is she going to do? She's even considering an abortion. Who can she turn to, who understands her anguish?
Much to her surprise, that person is ::SPOILER:: her own mother, Kate, and not even 20 years ago, but just last year. We relive Kate's journey as she makes her own decision, every step of the way. ::
This movie could be made today (except for the clothes!) as it seems we have not progressed at all and are still fighting the same issues, and have resolved very little.
