Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

7/10

Nurse Gallagher tells Alex she thinks David is Jewish because she "had a look" while he was comatose, implying that he's been circumcised.

We see David running nude in the woods during a dream sequence including the side of his bare butt and brief full-frontal nudity.

David and Alex (David's female nurse) are seen having sex in the shower, with kissing and touching. We then see them in bed, moaning and thrusting. At one point, Alex's bare breast is visible and there is implied cunnilingus.

David strips nude and we briefly see his bare butt twice as he transforms into a werewolf.

David wakes up in a wolf cage at the zoo and from a distance we briefly see full-frontal nudity and his bare butt as he gets out of the cage.

We briefly see rear and full-frontal nudity of David from a distance as he runs across the zoo.

David enters a porno theater and we see a man and woman in the film having sex. We also briefly see the woman's bare breasts several times times. Related moaning and breathing from the film is also heard off-screen.

A man's nude corpse is seen from the side.

Violence & Gore

8/10

Jack is attacked by a werewolf and we see the wolf mauling and biting him. In a sequence cut simultaneously with David running away, Jack gets bloodier and bloodier.

We briefly see Jack's mutilated, blood-soaked corpse. The werewolf then attacks David, but is shot by locals. David turns to see the the body of the werewolf, now transformed back into the man he once was and we briefly see large, bloody shotgun bullet wounds.

We see some scars and bruises on David's body.

In a dream sequence, David mauls and kills a deer with his jaws. We hear bones snapping as he grabs his prey and then see him stand up covered in blood and briefly eat the bloody matter from a deer's severed leg.

In another dream sequence, David's family are massacred by anthropomorphic werewolves in Nazi garb. One grabs David and holds a knife to his neck and he watches them gun down his mother, father, younger brother and sister and we briefly see the kids bloody corpses. The Nazi werewolves tear apart the house with machine gun fire and then proceed to burn it. The werewolf holding David then slits his throat and we briefly see blood running from it.

In another dream sequence, Alex is attacked and stabbed repeatedly by the same Nazi werewolf from the last one and we see her blood-soaked corpse.

Jack's ghost (as a corpse) appears to talk to David and we see graphic neck and facial wounds on his body. Jack re-appears later on, green and decaying to warn David that he will turn into a werewolf.

The werewolf attacks a couple and we briefly see the wolf gnawing on the corpse of the man. A man goes out to investigate and steps on something squishy; we see the severed, bloody hand of the man who died.

It is very much implied that the werewolf kills three hobos

The werewolf chases a man down a London tube and he trips and falls on an escalator, resulting in a bloody nose. His death is also heavily implied

We see Jack's ghost again in the porno theater, looking like a decomposing corpse now nearly decayed to a skeleton. We also see the ghosts of the people David killed, all mauled and very bloody.

The werewolf attacks an usher in the porno theater and we see his bloody corpse after a cop finds it. The cop then finds the werewolf and we see it gnawing rather graphically on the bloody entrails of a patron it just killed.

The werewolf bites off the head of the police inspector and we see it bounce off the hood of a car and roll off into the street.

The werewolf causes a great deal of pandemonium in Piccadilly Circus, we see cars crashing, people being run over, hit or thrown into buildings and at least one bloody corpse.

The police corner and gun down the werewolf in an alleyway and we briefly see bloody bullet holes in the werewolf's body after he changes back to human form.

Profanity

6/10

Some strong language, words like "a--hole" and "dammit" 6 uses of the "f-word" both sexually and pejoratively. Jesus Christ's name is used as an exclamation/profanity, "What the hell?", some sexual innuendos, one gay slur, one use of the "c-word".

3/10

People are seen drinking beer in a bar. Dr. Hirsch is also seen ordering and drinking a Guinness.

9/10

Some scenes listed under violence may seem frightening/intense

In another dream sequence, David sees himself in a hospital bed in the middle of the woods. Alex approaches him and we briefly see David's face; pale, yellow eyes, sharp teeth as he hisses loudly.

David transforms into a werewolf and the entire sequence appears torturous: His bones morph and crunch into a more canine figure and he is heard screaming throughout until his voice drowns away into a howl.

In the werewolf's first two attacks we see a quick shot of the wolf's face and a loud roar.

In the werewolf's POV, it approaches a man who fell on an escalator, slowly zooming in on his face.

David calls his house and tells his sister to tell the family that he loves them because he is about to commit suicide, he is about to slash his wrists with a pocket knife in the phone booth but gives up.

The ghosts all offer very tongue-in-cheek suggestions as to how David should kill himself.

Every time that Jack appears to David after his (Jack's) death, he is in a different stage of decomposition. This is played just as much for laughs as for horror, but it could terrify younger viewers.

Total: 33/50. It's an old movie, yes, but its still got plenty to make it questionable for younger teens.
