Season 1, Episode 1: The Fall Guy

4 November 1981
Colt Seavers is a stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter. His cousin, Howie Munson, shows up to "manage" Colt's career, and ends up helping him track down fugitive Country Joe Walker. Walker, who's new manager has Colt beat up, fails to turn himself in after Howie drops him off at the front door of the police dept. Meanwhile, Jody's first job doesn't quite go as planned. Then, Colt and Howie have to go to Arizona after a guy who ran down a kid on the street. While in Arizona, Country Joe shows up, as does his new manager.

The episode starts off with Colt demonstrating a new stunt to Robert Wagner involving jumping out of one plane to another. Then Colt and Howie travel to Mexico in order to bring a guy back who robbed the Gold Exchange. While down there they get into a little trouble with the law themselves.

Jack wants Colt to bring in a man who stole 10 million dollars in securities, whom she bailed out and gave his house as collateral but when he sells out from under her. So she assumes he is planning to run she wants Colt to bring him in so that she could revoke his bail. Colt thinks it might be a snap but the guy has someone making sure no one gets him. And when Colt tries to get him again, a woman gets in his way who claims that she is protecting him.

A man is arrested for armed robbery, he calls Jack to bail him out. She calls Colt to keep an eye but because he was injured during his latest stunt, Howie offers to do it. But the knocks Howie out and gets away. When Jack learns of this, she calls Colt to go get him. They learn he went to Hawaii so they follow. But after they leave, two government agents show up and tell Jack to forget about the guy. But when Colt arrives, he and Howie are arrested and held incommunicado. Later a Naval officer whom Colt knows shows up and gets them out and wants Howie to describe the man who escaped. Later he shows up wanting to take Howie cause he saw him.

While attending a stunt mans' convention, Colt reunites with a stunt woman named Charlie whom he worked with before. A singer is confronted by a man who has been writing some of his hit songs which he has not received credit. When he threatens to expose him, the singer kills him. That's when one of his people a naive young man comes in and sees what happened. The singer tells him the man attacked him. He tells the young man to say he did it and the singer promises to help him. Eventually he gets bailed out and the singer tells him to hide, in reality the singer's planning to kill him so that he won't recant and that there'll be no further investigation into his link with dead man. Colt is sent to bring him back. When they talk to his girlfriend sh claims he didn't do it. It's while looking for him that Colt discovers the link between the singer and the dead man.

Season 2, Episode 3: Colt's Outlaws

10 November 1982
While shooting on location, Colt and his mentor Dan Wild go drinking and when they come out of the bar, the Sheriff arrests Wild for being drunk. The next day Colt learns that while in custody Wild shot someone. Colt returns to L.A. and learns that the Mayor of the town is crooked. He also finds out that the Governor is trying to build a case against the Mayor but so far the only person willing to testify against him was the man Wild killed. Obviously Wild was set up. Colt then comes up with a plan. He organizes some of the stunt men who are Wild's friends and they pose as bikers and go down to the town and tear it up.

Season 2, Episode 4: Colt Breaks Out

10 November 1982
After breaking Dan out of jail and with Mary who witness the murder Littlefield engineered, Colt goes back to L.A. to vindicate Dan. But when Littlefield learns that Mary's a witness against him, He calls someone in the National Guard and they capture Howie and the stunt men who were making their way back to L.A. So Colt can't let Mary testify and with no other choice, he goes back to Littlefield to break Howie and the others out, with Dan and Mary. But Littlefield is ready for him.

Based on what Harold tells them, Colt deduces that someone tried to kill him but didn't do a good job and the trauma caused Ozzie to come out.

Terri bails out a woman who along with an unknown accomplice stole some jewels. She sends Colt to bring her in but unfortunately, insurance investigator Kay Faulkner is also after cause she wants the jewels back. They track her to a clinic that specializes in plastic surgery. It seems she had plastic surgery to alter her appearance and wouldn't let photos of her after the procedure to be taken. So they have to find her and they think she's on the cruise ship where she stole the jewels. So while Colt and Kay try to flush her out, her accomplice, who is also on the same ship learns she is on the ship wants the jewels sets out to find her.

When Colt apprehends one of his skips, a conman, he finds himself cornered by some of the people he bilked. Colt places him in the secret compartment in his truck, then gets away. While in the compartment the man places a key in it. When Colt gets back to L.A., he goes to work at a movie and his truck is to be used in it. Colt makes a couple of other trucks to look like his so his won't get damaged. The man gets out of jail and tries to get to the truck to get the key. When Colt uses one of the duplicate trucks, he lets Howie do the stunt. The man has the truck shot so it will crash. Howie sees him do it but is injured. A trauma team is sent to help and they get Howie out but is unconscious. But Jody who was with Howie tells Colt that someone caused the accident. So Colt sets to find out who did it.

A swindler who got millions of dollars from several victims goes on the run and leaves his girlfriend behind. She then goes to his computer and alters the access code number to his account. She is then arrested and bailed out by Terri. The swindler then has her picked up and brought to her at the non extradition island where he now stays. Terri sends Colt to get her and he brings Howie and Jody along. And when they get there, she convinces Colt to get the access code name to the account.

When a man whom Colt is going to testify against tries to get him not to even offering him money, which Colt refuses. Later someone grabs Terri and calls Colt and tells him not to testify. Colt goes to see the man and threatens him if anything happens to Terri. He then goes to see Colt and convinces him he wouldn't do that. So Colt thinks someone close to him is trying to frame him so that he could be sent away for a long time maybe even executed. So Howie poses as his knew enforcer and he later learns that one of these persons is the man's wife.

The son of a man whom Colt knows, who works at a record company in L.A. is arrested for killing the man he works for. He goes on the run and turns to a friend of his father who owns a chain of record stores. Colt follows him. What they don't know is that the man who was murdered was involved in a counterfeit record operation and was trying to get out but was killed by the man behind it. But it seems before he died he sent proof of operation to the record store owner whom the killer works for and is trying to get it back. But first has to find it.

A loose pastiche of The Sting broken into three acts. Colt, Howie and Jody are working on a low-budget film when the producer suddenly finds themselves extorted for money. The extortionist is a crooked councilor who has recklessly run up some considerable gambling debts with the 'syndicate'. Colt decides to mount a 'sting' operation by pretending to be a contract killer called The Wasp and getting Jody to finagle her way into the councilor's affections by playing slutty and wearing a series of skimpy outfits. Stunts include: a couple of car crashes/explosions, land skiing, a helicopter grab and jumping and crashing Colt's truck.

When a female author who goes to any length to get what she wants. And she is presently writing about a criminal and she got one of his associates to tell her things about his boss. When the man learns what his associate did, he tells him to handle or he'll handle him. So he goes to see the woman and is killed accidentally in the process. She would be arrested and Terri would bail her out. Terri sends Colt to get her but omits to tell him about the criminal. She is the Florida Everglades. When Colt get there, the criminal found her and tries to kill her and get the tape she has of his associate spilling his guts. They manage to escape but find themselves in the middle of the swamp.

Colt is sent to a small mountain town to bring a guy he knows named Hoss. The man's a "Gentle Giant" who has a thing for animals and when he was in the zoo in L.A. assaulted someone who was teasing the animals. Colt finds him and convinces him to come back with him but not after they go at it. Colt leaves him at the Sheriff's for the night. But after he leaves, another prisoner whom they are holding for speeding, stole some money and the deputy who arrested him wants it and will do anything to get it. So he tells Hoss, the deputy then assaults Hoss. The next day Colt learns that Hoss is in the hospital. The deputy claims he collapsed after Colt left him, so everyone thinks Colt beat Hoss that led to his collapse. Colt goes on the run. He learns from another prisoner whom the deputy thinks was passed out but heard everything. Colt tries to find the man who stole the money so he can testify that it was the deputy who assaulted Hoss.

Season 4, Episode 10: San Francisco Caper

A man who stole a diamond in San Francisco was caught and was bailed out by Terri. Terri learns he went back to San Francisco, so she sends Colt to get him. Colt goes but the daughter of an actor who has a crush on Colt follows him and causes complications. In the meantime, the man didn't steal the diamond but actually was paid by the owner to appear to have stolen it so that he could get the insurance but because the police caught him too soon, they confiscated the money he was paid so he's now asking for more which the owner claims he doesn't have.

The director who gave Colt his first job and who has been using it for years to get Colt to work on his low rate movies. Now he wants Colt to take part in a desert race supposedly to get more footage. But what he didn't tell Colt is that he made a bet with someone in Vegas who upon learning how much he stands to lose sends a man whom Colt sent to prison to keep him from winning.

An aspiring singer lets a producer hear her music. But when a man comes in the producer asks her to leave and he turns the tape recorder on to record the conversation. Now the man is trying to extort the producer but the producer won't give in, when he sees that the producer is recording them, there's a struggle he pulls out a gun and shoots the producer. The singer comes in to get her tape and grabs the gun and fires a warning shot. The police arrest her. Terri bails her out. Now she tries to be a singer much to the consternation of her father. Colt is tasked with bringing her in. And the extortionist tries to get the tape that's in her possession.

Season 4, Episode 20: Spring Break

A college bursar who was accused and arrested for embezzlement was bailed out by Terri. He maintains his innocence, he thinks the university President might be involved so he goes through the computers to find proof. The people who are involved with him tells the President to erase all his files that could be incriminating. But a student was coerced by some student athletes to copy the file because it has an exam they're going to take. So the bursar and the men follow the student whom the athletes take when they for Spring Break, to get the disc. Terri sends Colt to bring the bursar back for his court date. But when he finds the man, he convinces Colt of his innocence and that the disc the student has could have the evidence that could clear him. But it's passed around.

Season 4, Episode 21: Split Image

27 February 1985
A guy who stole some cocaine is arrested and bailed out by Terri who then goes on the run. He discovers a meek guy who looks just like him and decides to use him so that he could be free. He gets his girlfriend to come on to and make him look like him. He then gets word to the man whose cocaine he stole, who then comes to get it back, hoping he will kill the guy and that will the end of that. But Terri also learns of this and sends Colt to get him which he does. But he tells Colt he's not this man he's talking about. Later the guy upon learning of Colt, tries to make sure that he doesn't bring him back so that the man who's looking for his cocaine will find him and kill him.

Season 4, Episode 22: The Skip Family Robinson

A con man pulling his latest con which has him pretending to be a doctor at a resort. When someone is looking for a doctor the person he is with points him out. When he goes to the room to help the man, another man recognizes him and throws him out. The man he was seeing orders that he be taken care of because he isn't suppose to be in the country. So the other guy frames him for burglary. A few months later after being bailed out by Terri, he jumps bail and goes to the resort to get the one who framed him. Terri has Colt fetch him but when they do, the man's children rescue him and they go back. Colt follows them and when the man who wanted him dead learns of his presence, they try to have him killed but Colt saves him. They decide to team up to find what's going on.

Colt goes to work for a new bail bonds woman named Pearl. She wants him to find a guy, a convicted forger on parole, who was charged for burglary and is also an Elvis impersonator. She sends them to Las Vegas to find him but unfortunately there's an Elvis competition going on. Eventually they find him and he claims that someone wants him to forge a will, and when he refused they framed him. He came to Las Vegas because he wants to show everyone his talents and convinces Pearl to let him. When someone tries to grab him, Colt thinks he's telling the truth so tries to find the one who wants him to forge the will.

Pearl sends Colt to bring in a murderer she bailed out. She tells him to keep an eye on the witness who's going to testify against him. While waiting they see someone approach the witness and they jump him thinking he works for the guy but he turns out to be an FBI agent who is also looking for the murderer and he threatens to charge him unless he helps him.

While tracking a skip, Colt witnesses the man with another. And while trying to get him, a rival bounty hunter tries to take him from Colt but with Howie's help they outsmart him. Later, Colt is approached by a prosecutor who wants him to testify about the man he saw his skip talking to before he caught him. It seems the man is an elusive criminal. Colt agrees. Later he is framed. When Colt is about to go to court, the prosecutor tells him that she suspects the man he is going to testify against framed him to not only discredit him but to cease them from investigating him. So she tells Colt to go on the run and clear himself. And to do that Colt sets out to find the girl who helped frame him. Pearl who put up Colt's bails wants Howie and Jody to bring him in and when they refuse, the rival bounty hunter takes the job. He then goes to the criminal and offers to take Colt out.

A loser whose money making schemes always go wrong, is thrown out by his wife. And wanting to make it up to her he takes out a contract on himself so that his wife could get his insurance. Moments after meeting with the one who will execute it, he wins the lottery. At the same time, it seems that one of his schemes got him arrested and the one who bailed him out wants Colt to bring him in. Now the guy after claiming the money, is caught by Colt. He asks Colt to make a phone call and the one he calls is the man he hired and he tells him to call it off but the man is worried that he's a loose end decides to take him out.
