Trivia

During the Gulf War, David Jason met someone in a pub who worked at RAF Command Headquarters. He told Jason they race 3-wheel vans against each other, paint them yellow with Trotters Independent Traders down the sides of them, like the van from Only Fools and Horses.... (1981); Jason went down to have a look, but he didn't see a race. Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Buster Merryfield sent a Trotters van out to Kuwait. They slipped it into a Hercules plane among other stuff on a supply run and when it was unloaded the crew would find the van, filled up with chewing gum, toothpaste, cake and Danger Mouse (1981) and Count Duckula (1988) tapes from Brian Cosgrove with labels saying Debbie Does Dallas and Unzipperdedoodah and all sorts to amuse them. Jason didn't ask for any publicity because he didn't want anyone to think it was just for that, but a private joke between the RAF and the Trotters. The van was put in the hold and covered up with medical supplies and ammunition and flew to Kuwait, where it's discovery brought some light relief. See more »

Patrol Bird: Excuse me, sir, but is that your care parked on the admiral's epaulets?
Dangermouse: Uh... yes it is, Constable.
Patrol Bird: [Piturbed] "Sergeant" if you don't mind!
[Composed now]
Patrol Bird: Would you mind showing me your liscence?
Dangermouse: Yes of course... Sergeant.
Patrol Bird: [Reads liscence] Hmmm... well this here... oh! You're name's "Dangermouse"? Oh... haha... well, ah...
[cough]
Patrol Bird: Carry on, sir! I'll keep an eye on the car for you!
Dangermouse: Thank you, Sergeant.

Why not Bring back Danger Mouse?
9 May 2001 | by (Brooklyn, NY. (Where I'm from originally.)) – See all my reviews

This cartoon was like Monty Python meets James Bond. It was about a heroic mouse named Danger Mouse who was the best secret agent and he had an inept and cowardly sidekick, a hampster named Ernest Penfold who was like a cross between Stan Laurel and Peter Lorre. Together Danger Mouse and Penfold went on vivid and wildly hilarious adventures and had to save the world from a mafia-like syndicate presided by the villainous Silas Greenback.

Besides Garfield and Friends this was another one of my favorite cartoons from my childhood! It wouldn't hurt to bring it back to television with reruns! Danger Mouse had something in it for both kids and adults alike. And Danger Mouse is way better than all those cartoons they have out nowadays that have kids who 'save the world' with the help from their pocket/digital monsters. And on top of it all, it's non-violent!

So, if you're missing Danger Mouse, just order some video tapes of it! Check out your local video store one of these days! Danger Mouse was a true classic cartoon. Animated British humor which will leave you in stitches!
