Check out this shot of Aaron Eckhart in I, Frankenstein by photographer Everhardt Strauss and what an intriguing insight into this new project. Not a stranger to facial disfigurement in film, Eckhart is covered in scars that also vaguely resemble Marv from the fantastic Sin City. However, this is a very different story.
Eckhart will play a creature named Adam who gets involved in a war between two immortal sides in this modern-day adaptation of the classic Frankenstein story. The actor is hoping to bring the legend back to life, but with its original intentions, he told Collider:
“Frankenstein is an intelligent, evolved man, and that’s how he is portrayed in this movie, for sure. In the book, he’s very evolved. Somewhere in time, Frankenstein got dumbed down. He is a beast, but somewhere he lost his heart. It’s more of an action movie really. But, it will be cool. »

Aaron Eckhart's grisly transformation as Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight will have been good preparation for this.
The big screen adaptation of the comic book I Frankenstein has called for him to take a trip once more to the prosthetics department, where he's been decked out with a host of scars and lots of dirt, to complete his bedraggled look of blazer and fingerless gloves.
Aaron Eckhart is tapping into his dark side for I, Frankenstein
Eckhart is filming the horror-thriller in Victoria, Australia, where his co-stars include Miranda Otto, Yvonne Strahovski and our nation's favourite Bill Nighy.
Eckhart is playing Adam, who according to IMDb, "is a modern-day version of Dr. Frankenstein's classic monster, who gets involved in a war between two immortal clans in an ancient city".
Eckhart recently told Collider about his take on the classic monster-tale, "Frankenstein is an intelligent, evolved man, and that's »

Although in the past a hit Broadway show almost inevitably led to a hit Hollywood movie, the reverse process is increasingly occurring these days, the New York Post observed on Sunday as it laid out a long list of movies that are being developed for Broadway or that have already made the schedule for fall debuts. The newspaper quoted Broadway producer Manny Azenberg as saying, “A hit film is a brand, and it gives you that recognition factor.” Ken Davenport, a producer who is currently preparing to mount the 1980 Christopher Reeve time-traveler Somewhere in Time on the Great White Way, dismisses criticism that such shows lack the creative innovation that is expected of a Broadway show that people often pay hundreds of dollars to see. He told the Post: “Totally original musicals that aren’t based on anything are unbelievably rare, and have a big failure rate. I look for source material that will make a great musical, and I don’t care if it’s from a book, a movie or a postcard!” Among the movies in the process of being transformed into stage productions are: Animal House, Back to the Future, Big Fish, Bullets over Broadway, Flashdance, and Sleepless in Seattle. »
