During WW2, 6. female helicopter pilots are recruited for a secret mission in England. They will bring spies, refugees and weapons back and forth from the behind enemy lines.

This was shown months after the death of Jacqueline Cochran who was Director of Women Pilots in the War Department in WWII. The real group was made up of two sections - the Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron and the Women's Flying Training Detachment. The two combined to become the Women Air Force Service Pilots (WASP). Sixty-eight WASPS are still alive as of January 2018. See more
