The not-so-typical Hercules family moves into a house in Venice, California, and in their basement is one of those tempting doors that no one dares open. Beyond is the world of the Sixth Dimension.

Frenchy (Marie-Pascale Elfman), the precocious daughter who recently returned from France, attends a bizarre school where a teacher (Kendrick Wolfe) maintains order with the aid of a machine gun, and it is not at all uncommon for her fellow classmates to wear bags over their heads. Squeezit (Toshiro Boloney), half-chicken and half-boy, is the laughing stock of them all.

Returning home, Frenchy is bored, and easily succumbs to her natural curiosity. She opens the basement door, and is flung headlong into the world of the FORBIDDEN ZONE.

She is trapped in the kingdom ruled by the horny midget King Fausto (Herve Villechaize), his robust commandeering Queen Doris (Susan Tyrrell), and their spoiled daughter (Giselle Lindley). Obese maidens in bikinis, a dancing frog, robot-like boxers (The Kipper Kids), Satan (Danny Elfman), the secret cult of The Mystic Knights of the Oingo-Boingo, and degraded beings of all kinds run wild in the Sixth Dimension.

Hot in pursuit, Frenchys brother Flash (Phil Gordon) and Gramps (Hyman Diamond) hurry to her rescue. Squeezit also ventures into the FORBIDDEN ZONE in an attempt to find his missing twin-sister Rene (also played by Toshiro Boloney).

The king wants a new concubine, and has his eyes on Frenchy. The spunky maiden has captured the kings heart, and in so doing incurs the wrath of his jealous wife.

Frenchy is imprisoned, and it is also discovered that the ex-queen (Viva) lies chained in bondage.

Will Frenchy suffer the fate of the other damsels who have tempted the king and infuriated the jealous queen? Will the dethroned queen escape and seek revenge against her successor? What has become of Flash, Gramps, and the others? Theres no turning back from the FORBIDDEN ZONE.
