If there are no errant knights somebody has to set the things right
hmsgroop12 August 2000
This film is not another screen version of the famous Cervantes's novel. There are no more errant knights, no more Don Quixotes. But there is an eternal dream of justice, chivalry, protection of the wronged. The heroine seeks these things in real, everyday life but all her dreams fail to come true. All men to whom she turns for setting the out-of-joint time right fall short of her expectations because they are too small for the task. She is mocked, exposed and disappointed. So what to do? Somebody has to take Don Quixote's place. It's only natural that she sets out as a knight errant to give people hope, to maintain their belief in justice. Because people must have ideals after all.
