  • At the direction of the production designer, Fred Harpman, Jim Cochran was asked to design a couple of sterling silver electronic pendants for the movie. They were about 2 inches in diameter and mounted to a sterling silver box chain. Control of the different functions had to be done off camera. At the end of the 10 foot control interface a 9 volt battery and speed control provided control of the effects. The look of the pendants was to be in the shape of a robot. The incandescent grain of wheat lamps used in the design had to be filmed in at least 100 foot-lamberts of lighting. More to follow in the near future.
