As dull as it gets
12 July 2000 | by (Toulouse, France) – See all my reviews

I bought this film secondhand (thirdhand ? four hundred and second hand ?) from a wobbly, dusty, dirty stack in a no less wobbly, dusty, dirty little shop one bright Sunday morning. I should better have left it where it belonged. For God knows there are many dull films out there, but BLACKJACK (French video title: PANIQUE AU CASINO) is one of the dullest I had the misfortune to set my poor eyes on. Lousy plot, cheap picture, awful soundtrack (not unlike L'UOMO PUMA's). And a s***load of useless stinky car explosions, as if the atmosphere was not polluted enough. One wonders why Peter Cushing got involved in that long piece of rubbish. No doubt the fast forward button was invented for that film. Not even worth stealing.
