Fast & Furious 8 May Have Found its Director, Straight Outta Compton

5 hours ago | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Fast & Furious 8 is eyeing the director of Straight Outta Compton, F. Gary Gray.  Read on for more details.

As soon as Furious 7 ended, Vin Diesel announced that there would be a Fast & Furious 8. However, with James Wan not returning, the super-charged ship was without a captain.  Although, that may be soon changing as it appears Universal Pictures may have selected its next director.

After the recent success of Straight Outta Compton, Director F. Gary Gray has been a hot commodity in the movie world.  Until now, he was rumored to be one of the final four director's for Marvel's Black Panther movie.  However, if the picture above and Vin Diesel's words are true, he may be scrapping the vibranium claws for a super-charged v6 turbo.

If anyone were to take the helm of this franchise, I'd want it to be F. Gary Gray, especially after Straight Outta Compton. »

Word of mouth about Netflix must be pretty damn good in the Jolie-Pitt house. Almost two months after Brad Pitt shook hands with the company to have them distribute his upcoming star/producer project War Machine, a satirical comedy and departure-from-the-norm for Animal Kingdom/The Rover director David Michod, Angelina Jolie is teaming with the streaming site for her fourth directorial effort, the Loung Ung biography First They Killed My Father. amz asin="0060856262" size="small"The feature is an adaptation of Ung's best-selling memoir of the same name, who helped co-adapt the screenplay with Jolie. Review: 'Justified' - 'Alive Day': Train in vain

24 February 2015 8:03 PM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

A review of tonight's "Justified" coming up just as soon as I come across a chupacabra... "Maybe this time, things end different." -Boyd Last week, I wrote that I looked forward to "seeing the very stupid way" in which Choo-Choo would died, thinking about the accidental demises of White Boy Bob in "Out of Sight," or Danny Crowe when he tried to test his 21-foot rule theory on Raylan last season. "Alive Day" appears to kill off our latest impulsive man of violence, who fails to get crushed by his namesake, but instead expires from wounds acquired in a shootout with Raylan, Tim, Ty Walker and some of Avery Markham's other mercs. And it's not just the method of Choo-Choo's death that's a surprise, but the tone of it. Introduced as perhaps the dumbest and strongest of the series' many dumb strong guys, he instead turns out to be someone »
