Here's an actual scene from an episode of the Stockard Channing
Show:
Susan suspects a nearby health food restaurant is up to no good. But Brad
loves the sandwiches there and refuses to believe that the restaurant is
anything but on the up-and-up. Susan decides that she's going to go in
disguise to the restaurant to find the truth. Brad asks her to pick him up
a
sandwich. She leaves. He cries out after her, 'with extra wheat germ!!!'
She
pounds on the door in reply. The studio audience errupts into deafening
laughter.
This show really wasn't any more entertaining than anything else on tv
those
days. But Stockard was funny.
