Dudley Rush is an artist with a difference! Eccentric and childlike, he insists, among other things, on wearing his large-sized lion ventriloquist glove puppet on his hand whenever he draws the comic strip "Barney, The Bionic Bulldog". As Dudley is not at all happy with having to spend what he considers valuable time working, he is always procrastinating, with this often leading to his being late in meeting the 'dead-line' for the comic strip - to the continuing frustration of his long-suffering agent, Duncan Thomas (who often falls victim to Dudley's practical jokes). Duncan frequently visits the Rush family home to collect Dudley's latest drawings, and, as it is quite obvious that he is strongly attracted to Dudley's attractive wife Muriel, this often leads to bouts of excessive jealousy on Dudley's part. As Duncan also delightedly consumes an excessive number of Muriel's delicious cakes whenever he visits the Rush family home, this is an added source of annoyance for Dudley. With ... Written by
