Season 6, Episode 1: Hostage to Fortune

A group of ruthless criminals attempt a bank robbery. They gain access to the bank manager's house by posing as a milk delivery man. Holding the wife hostage, the chief criminal goes to the bank with the manager to conduct the crime. Back at the house, PC Danny Sparks is taken hostage because he spots the car being driven by the criminals. PC Sparks and the true milkman are taken to the bank manager's house as additional hostages. When the police are alerted, the criminal at the bank is overpowered. The criminals at the house negotiate their surrender, but one of them decides to try to make a run for it, but is shot dead by PC Brian Kelleher, who later requests to be relieved from firearms duties.
