Trivia:
The producers of this series pitched it to the ABC TV network as a relatively straightforward buddy comedy in the spirit of Billy Wilder's comedy films. However, when they used the film Some Like It Hot (1959) as an example, the network agreed to the series provided that the premise includes the characters being disguised as women. Although they had to quickly change their series because of this, they also found they were able to produce the series with otherwise little network creative interference as a result of this compromise.See more »
Goofs:
Errors in geography: In a second season episode, an opening shot of Kip & Henry's building shows a California state flag flying outside. Since they work in New York City, this would be incorrect. It is an obvious stock shot of a downtown Los Angeles office building meant to imply Manhattan.See more »

This Show Sucks, 11 June 2005
Author: mico-1 from Canada

A local TV station began showing episodes of 'Bosum Buddies' and all I tell you is that unless you were old enough to remember watching this show back in the eighties, don't bother looking for it. I was a big fan of 'Bosum Buddies' back in grade school but after twenty-five years it has dated badly. While I admit it's interesting to see Tom Hanks back when he was young and unknown, the jokes are of the early PC variety and the plot lines revolve around Tom Hanks' and Peter Scolari's attempt to hide their cross-dressing secret from the women at the hotel. Watching this show in 2005, it's incredible how preachy everybody was back then.
