There is a reference to Sol Yurick's 1979 "The Warriors". During the scene Casanova Frankenstein is introducing the theme groups that are on his side. He follows up by saying "Dig it". In the Warriors, Cyrus gathered a bunch of New York City Theme gangs in the Bronx and in his visionary speech he repeatably said "Can you dig it?"
The similar motifs of battling games and the DJ who narrates the action is a fairly obvious reference to the Warriors.
After capturing Mary Jane, the Green Goblin answers to Peter call with "Spiderman, come out and play", a reference to the quote by Luther in Walter Hill's movie "Warriors, come out to play-i-ay"

Like 'The Warriors', this film also follows a gang as they try to survive crossing a city over the course of a night, fighting different gangs with distinctive characteristics. And the tagline for this film is "The New Generation of Warriors".

At 56:30 in the movie the apocalyptic tribe are chasing the soldiers in a graffiti'd up bus which is torn straight from Walter Hill's "The Warriors (1979) where the heroes are chased by the "Turnbull A.C.'s" who are in a similar bus and hang off of it waving weapons. It mirrors it so closely that the pursuees leap over subway turnstiles in their escape. Great call-back.
