Pretty bad but perhaps completely original (!?!) Italian exploitation flick
An annoying teenage male virgin is on a sailing vacation with his more successful (although god knows why) friend, and his friend's sexy girlfriend (Lili Carati) and younger sister (Taida Urruzola). He nearly gets lucky with the sister, but then she completely disappears for the rest of the movie. The sexual tension is increased exponentially, however, when the couple run into a shipwrecked and perpetually naked Finnish couple (the girl is Ilona Staller), and are inspired to spend the rest of their vacation in the nude. They end up at the family villa where they run into an older family friend (Olga Karlatos) who the male virgin has an obvious thing for (all the more obvious since he's naked). The older woman is at first embarrassed by the free-spirited and naked young people, but her own love life isn't going so well and she eventually gets into the spirit. Meanwhile, the young wannabe lothario tries to make the Finnish girl. Her boyfriend doesn't care, but his jealous girlfriend is driven to distraction, and nearly to suicide (again, god only knows why).
Okay, the plot is stupid. The characters are annoying, and are made even more so by the bad English dubbing. Obviously though, the raison d'etre of this Italian time-waster is to get the drool-inducing Carati, Staller, and (to a much lesser extent) Karlatos naked as early and often as possible. But Karlatos and Carati, at least, were in much better movies than this (like Fulci's "Zombie" and Ferdinand Deleo's "Being Twenty"), and Carati and Staller would later became full-fledged hardcore porn stars (although they are both younger and a lot less skanky here than they would be in their porn days). It's hard therefore to really to see the point of this particular movie.
As I watched it, I was trying to figure out what movie this was supposed to be ripping off (since it's an Italian movie it must be ripping of SOMETHING). It kind of resembles the early Peter Gallagher-Daryl Hannah movie "Summer Lovers", but it was made before that one. It also kind of resembles the Ruggiero Deodato film "Wave of Lust", but that more of a violent drama while this is mostly a sex comedy. It is perhaps most similar to the the lame German sex comedies of the late 70's, especially the ones with Betty Virges and Olivia Pascal like "The Fruit is Ripe" and "Summer Night Fever", but even the Italians probably wouldn't try to rip-off that kind of garbage. Of course, there's always the possibility that this is a totally ORIGINAL Italian exploitation flick. Now that would really be something!
