In Madrid in the 1920, many women are rented as wet nurse for bourgeois families . The milk pays very well, that's why women resort to the honest services for "Paco" (Alfredo Landa), glass cabinet by profession, which rounded the salary at the end of this month leaving pregnant clients pay for it. "Paco", although he is married, seeks exercise as stallion with all seriousness without allowed frivolities nor pleasures unnecessary. Its effectiveness and seriousness in the work justify his nickname "Insurance". However, "Mary" (Christine Pascal), his wife, obsessed by the maternity, does not get pregnant. "Don Federico" (Eduardo Calvo), the intermediary for "Paco" in this craft, he's very well considered, and he wants to recruit that form to future prostitutes, but "Paco" refuses and happens to you work to "Pocapena" the pharmacist (Patrick Dewaere), a womanizer would pay for make this work. "Paco el seguro", is a good film director Didier Haudepin, where tells a story based on a custom deeply rooted among women of rich class that they needed breast milk to feed their children, and for that used the "amas de cría"(wet nurse), which were maids who bear children while their ladies.
"Paco" is a character that is obsesses with the seriousness of their work, to the extent that waiver to have children with his wife, for a better delivery of his services. His drama begins when a competitor much younger than him. He will Be unable to assume that he can't win the battle at the time.
The interpretation of Alfredo Landa (one of the best actors who has had the Spanish cinema), is magnificent. His gestures, and gesture built his character to perfection, and the rest of the cast of actors makes an excellent work, among others the Eduardo Calvo, Patrick Dewaere and Emilio Fornet.
We must also highlight the excellent ambiance of the time of the 1920, and a good photography, which has surprised me in a Spanish film of 1979.
