The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Several women are seen in bikinis.

There is a mannequin with bare breasts and two men are 'fondling' it and one man puts his hand up the mannequins skirt and makes gestures. He also kisses it.

A naked couple are shown having sex (from a distance), we then see their bare butts as they run away. At about 1 min into the show easy to skip past. The man's penis, testicles and pubic hair can be seen briefly in the second shot, but it is slightly blurred and of course panned out. The entire sex scene is slightly graphic in nature due to their completely naked position and thrusting, but it's much more mild due to the distance and the audience looking through a scope. At 2 min mark it's over. Altogether, there are two different shots of them from this scene.

We see a man's bare butt as he runs through some tall grass.

Violence & Gore

Most of the violence in this film is implied and occurs offscreen. Also, it is intense and very disturbing. There are occasional amounts of blood and post-violence (as mentioned) shown. This all relates to the films context of death and revenge with the main antagonist. The following are the main cases of violence in the film:

A tiny amount of blood is shown when a character's throat is cut open in a car crash.

Max is shot in the knee. The bloody wound is shown briefly.

A graphic amount of blood can be seen on a dead man's face while he is slumped over the wheel of a car. This is very brief however.

A man has his arm run over by a motorcycle. The arm is later shown hanging by a rope. It is undetailed however, and there is no blood.

A severely burned and severed hand is shown. (The audience was earlier shown to a scene where a chain was wrapped around a man's wrist whist a car was driving away suddenly, so this scene with the severed hand could be inferred to what happened earlier).

Several car chases, many resulting in crashes.

Some explosions and other collateral damage including a car being destroyed while a couple is terrorized and trapped inside.

A man gets run over by a truck. This is shown in slow motion but there is no blood or graphic detail.

1 use of the word "f**k", at least 3 uses of the word "sh*t" and other minor uses of profanity (including; he'll, damn, crap, etc...)

{Profanity Count (Australian English Edition): damn- 3, hell- 2, sh*t- 2, ass- 1, bitch- 1, crap- 1}

There is some minor drinking.

A woman and small child are run down by a motorcycle gang. Nothing is shown, but it is disturbing.

Additionally, there are many scenes in the film involving gangs and high-speed chases that could be frightening for some. For instance, there is a baby who wanders out on to the road during the film's opening chase and is barely missed by the vehicles.

When gang is terrorizing the small city it is very intense.

A motorcycle gang destroys a car, bit by bit, while a young couple are inside screaming and are soon pulled out through the windows. It is implied later on that the woman was raped.

After a car chase, Max drags the guy from a tractor trailer leaking gas. The man is then handcuffed by his leg to a part of the tractor trailer. Max then explains to the man how he can free himself once a cigarette lighter is lit. The man is then left for dead and an explosion soon happens in the background.

Suggested MPAA Rating: R for violence including bloody images, brief sexuality/nudity, and some language
