Peter W. Simeon :
This DVD has several picture quality problems. All starts with a not prestine print which has some speckles and sometimes washed out colors. It was also a bit grainy and the film-to-video transfer suffers from unstable picture, the position of the image varies slightly from frame to frame. This is a common problem of many older transfers. The grainyness and the unstable picture makes MPEG encoding very difficult. The result is an even grainier picture as digital noise created during digitizing and/or compressing the video master is added. Also a lot of compression artifacts are visible, especially collapsing of details in backgrounds and freezing of parts of the background. Some scenes are quite soft with very little detail.
Except the scene access menu there are no supplements.
Peter W. Simeon :
The mono sound is not very impressive, but that is probably a limitation of the original source material. Unfortunately this DVD does only contain the US dubbed soundtrack. It would have been great if the original Australian soundtrack could have been added on a second audio track.
