This Is 1979

Every time I watch Cold Turkey (and if you can see it unedited nowadays), the little crossing guard lady who cusses out the little girl, I always think I saw her in a briefly aired sitcom.

She was Helen Page Camp, and as I suspected, she appeared on Its A Living. I always had an impression I saw her with Marian Mercer.

Looking over the cast with Eileen Brennan, Marcia Rodd (Carol #1 from Maude on the All In the Family episode), Jerry Van Dyke and Stanley Brock, it appears rather clichéd, safe to bet from that assortment.

But I always remember one bit with Helen Page Camp, as Millie, and I want to say it was probably Marcia Rodd or LIberty Williams, and Millie would say something and a younger woman, again, probably Rodd, would reply, "it's 1979," as tho Millie was living in the past.

Millie would then say, "why does everyone keep telling me that? 'Its 1979'?" Clearly the show didn't last beyond 9 episodes seen here.

Wouldn't mind seeing it now tho. Seeing what it was like.
