It doesn't matter which horror site is your favorite. The horror community is small, and we're all in the same boat despite any differences. The thing is, we writers? We have no union. No one to take care of us. We all do this mainly for passion as I can tell you none of us is getting rich.
That's why we implore you guys to take a moment and visit horror writer Bj Colangelo's personal blog. Bj contributes to the Day of the Woman website, which is dedicated to offering a female slant on the genre. To say she's an important voice in our community is kind of an understatement.
Recently Bj went through the hell of dealing with an especially violent bout of pancreatic cancer, and though she's managed to thankfully pull through, she's now suffering from the stress caused by some truly crushing medical bills.

The big payoff moment. The money shot. The Omg/Wtf/Nsfw scene in horror. These are the moments that define films. The moment that either grosses and disgusts or shocks the audience in such a way that they have to come back for the sequel. Here are our Top 13 Wtf Moments in Horror.
We're going to try to keep this to relatively mainstream films. That's not to say that some lesser known indies haven't had some shocking moments, but things seem that much more disturbing when the movie in question reaches a wide audience.
Beginning with our honorable mentions, we've got to include I Spit on Your Grave, one of the most censored and banned films of all times. Camille Keaton played Jennifer Hills who was raped for the better part of the first half of the film. Plenty of Nsfw moments there. Also those infamous shit-eaters in Salo: 120 Days of Sodom were certainly shocking. »

A few years ago I wrote a piece on my blog Day of the Woman about unrealistic horror couples, this isn’t to be confused with “worst horror couples” or like what Ryan Turek over at Shock Till You Drop posted, “Doomed Horror Romances.” Instead, I wanted to focus on couples in horror movies that really have no business being together. Some of these couples I’m judging from the shallow perspective of appearances, but some of these couples just don’t seem compatible. Now that I’m a little older and a little more in tune to what actually makes for a good relationship, I’ve re-vamped and revitalized this list just in time for everyone’s favorite holiday developed by the greeting card industry. Note: If you and your significant other resemble any of the couples we make fun of, we’re not making fun of you…we »
