Storyline

Aging stuntman Sonney Hooper is still on top as one of the best stuntmen in the business. But up and coming Ski is starting to do bigger and better stunts. Hooper has the experience to setup a stunt safely, and Ski lacks the common sense to know when a stunt is too dangerous. Maybe together, along with their fun loving buddies, they can do a stunt together that will surpass anything that anyone has done. Written by Brian W Martz <B.Martz@Genie.com>

Trivia

The climactic huge stunt sequence, referred to by the crew as "Damnation Alley," was staged at the by-that-time-disused Northington General Hospital, a World War II military hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which had also been used as married-student housing by The University of Alabama. After most of the hospital buildings (including a large smokestack) were blown up or otherwise demolished for the filming, the lot was cleared and the University Mall complex was built on the site. If you like Smokey and the Bandit and that type of flick, watch Hooper. It's one of my favorite Reynolds movies. Very cute and cool.
