"Online comment sections feel like a microcosm of our current political climate. As a writer and performer whose work exists mostly on the Internet, I would get a ton of hate messages and comments," Marron tells Et. "Initially, I wanted to just block out the negativity, but as I realized that (some of) these negative comments were opportunities for actual conversation, I didn't want to keep turning these people away from my digital front door. Lucifer showrunner to write Flight of the Navigator reboot

It looks like Hollywood is set to take another crack at a reboot of the 80s sci-fi adventure Flight of the Navigator, with THR reporting that Joe Henderson, showrunner of Fox’s Lucifer, has signed on to pen the script for Lionsgate.

The 1986 movie, directed by Randal Kleiser (Grease), revolved around a 12-year-old boy who is abducted by a UFO, reappearing at exactly the same age eight years later, with no memories of his experiences. When Nasa spots a connection between the boy and a recovered UFO, the youngster escapes in the ship and sets off to reunite with his family and unravel the mystery.

In 2009, Disney attempted to remake the film and in 2012 Colin Trevorrow and his writing partner Derek Connolly were brought in to write a script, although the project ultimately failed to get off the ground.

First Trailer For John Travolta As Legendary Crime Boss ‘Gotti’ [Watch]

John Travolta’s comeback in the 1990s is one of the more famous in American stardom. In the 1970s, Travolta became one of the biggest draws around thanks to “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever,” but spent much of the 1980s in a series of disappointments, culminating in the “Look Who’s Talking” franchise. But then, Quentin Tarantino came knocking with “Pulp Fiction,” and Travolta became an even bigger star than before, with a run of terrific movies including “Get Shorty,” “Face/Off,” “The Thin Red Line” and “Primary Colors.”

If that was a peak, recent years have been something of a trough: Travolta’s recent films have mostly, like similar actors of his vintage, been cheap VOD jobs with titles you’ve not heard of like “The Forger,” “Life On The Line,” “Criminal Activities” and “I Am Wrath” (with Ti West’s underrated, underseen “In A Valley Of Violence” a
