Storyline

Keitel plays the lead in this schizophrenic movie in which he is continually pulled by the two conflicting sides of his personality, on the one hand that of a quiet piano virtuoso and on the other a ruthless debt collector for his mobster father. Keitel is introspective as only Keitel can be, really making the audience feel for him and his pained existence. Written by <gilesw@hotmail.com>

Quotes

Jimmy Fingers: Excuse me. I got a phone call this morning. A voice said to come here and look for a girl on the phone. She'll be the girl of your dreams. 5'5', dark hair, blue eyes. She's wearing a dusty rose bikini and her name is Julie.
Julie: Well, you made a mistake. I'm 5'6'.

an interesting, rarely seen thriller by a talented filmmaker.
16 July 2003 | by (manchester, england) – See all my reviews

i finally got to see this movie on an obscure US ntsc video whilst living in bermuda and i liked it. i remember it being cut by the british censor way back in '79 though the sex and violence scenes are quite tame when you watch them now. harvey keitel gives a typically commanding performance as a schizo who works as a piannist and also gets involved with the usual suspects around various well shot new york locations. well worth checking out.
