  • Near the beginning, some men are seen showering completely nude, their genitals are obscured but we see them fully nude from behind.
  • A man gets drunk and begins to streak. He strips to his underwear, then takes off his underwear. He is seen running from far, with his penis clearly visible for a few seconds. He lays down, and again his penis is visible until it is covered up.

Violence & Gore

  • Scenes of intense Vietnam combat, with explosions and gunshot wounds. Quite graphic sequences.
  • A scene in which an extremely intense and emotional game of Russian Roulette is played where we see graphic blood spurts and blood pouring out of a head wound.
  • A deer is shot and is killed. No gore is seen however the deer can be seen collapsing and struggling to breathe as it dies.

  • The entire movie is extremely intense, with multiple scenes of emotional deaths and situations.
  • The Russian Roulette scene is said to be one of the most intense and frightening "Non-Horror" scene of all time.
  • The movie isn't as uplifting of a war movie as, say Saving Private Ryan, but it's still suitable for most teens, even if they aren't the target audience.
