Storyline

Sagar Singh is a businessman who lives in scenic Simla with his widowed mom; brother, Bipin, his wife, Urmila; sister, Prema; and brother, Kishan. When he returns from USA, he meets with Prema's music teacher, Savitri C. Thakur, and falls head over heels in love with her. The Singhs approve of Savitri and soon the couple are married. What Sagar does not know is that Savitiri loves another man by the name of Manohar Dhani, who is the local tourist guide, but cannot marry him, as according to an astrology professor her husband is fated to die within the first 40 days of her marriage. She keeps her affair a secret from Sagar, but Manohar shows up - and he makes his intentions quite clear from the beginning - that he is here to marry Savitri, by hook or by crook, even if he has to kill Sagar, if necessary. A great film about love, marriage and fidelity
21 February 2009 | by See all my reviews

Reena Roy gave an amazing performance in this movie. She looked absolutely beautiful and acted very well. In those days there was Reena Roy, Hema Malini, and Rekha. These were real beauties. Today there are half naked actresses and they are like this because they don't have beauty and substitute for beauty by exposing their skin. Rishi Kapoor, the born actor, as usual did a wonderful job. Jatinder's role was just normal. Nothing spectacular.

The movie is about how after marriage wife should be totally committed to her husband and all previous alliances, loves and relations should burn in the sacred fire at the time of marriage (in case of Hindus).

The music by Lakshmikant Pyarelal was absolutely melodious. Many movies have been made on this theme of three angle love till date but this was one of the original ones.
