I am consistently amazed by the things that people want to complain about., 26 December 2005
Author: xenophile2002 from Cosplay City

To say that the acting was forced or that the sets were cheap or that the plots were thin is one thing, but to complain that _Fantasy Island_ used "the SAME shot of the SAME dancer and musicians" just seems goofy. The reason it is the same dancers each week is because IT'S THE SAME DANCERS EACH WEEK! These are the dancers who work at Fantasy Island and every time "da plane" comes in they go to meet it and dance. You expected Mr. Rourke to get a new retinue of dancers every week? This show had enough unrealistic stuff without adding that. And the reason so much of the location is used again and again and again is because much of the story happens in the same place. Was Mr. Rourke supposed to get a new house every episode? I mean really.

There's stuff to not like about _Fantasy Island_, and stuff to like. But please, let's not get so desperate to find things to complain about that we go apezoid over Mr. Rourke employing the same dancers for more than a week. Job security, you know.
