Trivia

In the brief scene when Katherine's new husband Barney (Joel Fabiani) is introduced to her family, he also meets Mrs. Dunn (Priscilla Pointer) for the first time. Both Fabiani and Pointer had been at the San Francisco Actors' Workshop in the early 1960s, appearing together in stage plays such as "The Marriage of Mr. Mississippi". See more »

Goofs

Despite ostensibly being set in New York City, in the shot right before Theresa fantasizes about running into the street so Martin will hit her with his car, palm trees can clearly be seen reflected in the plate glass store window behind her. See more »

Wonderfully disturbing. .

Well. . after viewing this movie for the first time, I must admit. . it is one of those movie experiences that you will remember for a very long time.

Released in 1977, "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" must have shocked quite a few people with it's tale of sex, drugs . . . and more sex and drugs. Diane Keaton plays Theresa, an elementary school teacher specializing in deaf education who's nighttime excursions to the single's bars in New York City seldom bring her back to her apartment alone.

I must admit this movie was shocking to me throughout the first 2 hours. . but the last fifteen minutes will leave you breathless. . you must see this film. .
