I have seen this movie and the "Unsolved Mysteries" re-enactment and read the book and all of the comments, but I'm afraid I just can't accept this material for what it's worth. the movie is a great alternate myth to the question of there was a conspiracy, but Booth was shot at Garrett's farm. Every theory that purports he wasn't so far has claimed that he was transported under a blanket on a wagon at one point in his flight. In truth, he was on horseback for most of the time with his partner Lewis Paine, rowing in a canoe and then back on horseback until the farm. Upon dying, his final words on the Garret porch before witnesses were to his mother. He never refuted his identity with any of his last breaths. I have also been unable to locate the existence of the so-called James William Boyd, but then if he did exist, it would have to have been very convenient for both of them to have their initials tattooed into their hands as Booth was know to have. Still, I do like the movie; John Anderson has made a long career playing Lincoln. Only few men, Roy Dotrice and Lance Henriksen among others, can actually steal his thunder. Bradford Dillman was a fair Booth but I've seen better [the one in Henriksen's movie was sharp], and versatile John Dehner really captures his role in the movie. If you pay close attention, you'll also see Sonny Shroyer long before he played Enos on "The Dukes of Hazzard."
