At the beginning credits Shockley gets into his car and drives off past a Penney's department store. He then gets on a freeway and drives around town. After he stops and breaks the bottle of whiskey, you can see the same Penney' store behind him.

In the constable's car, there is a can of Tab sitting on the dash with the bar code side visible in all the head on shots. After Shockley and the constable return to the car from making the phone call the can of Tab is turned around to the front; easy to tell because the bar code box is missing and the Tab lettering is larger.

When Mally is giving directions to her house, she says, "Six blocks up, turn left, its the second house on the right." But it clearly shows them turning RIGHT and going to the FIRST house on LEFT.

When Shockley orders the "kidnapped" constable to turn into a gas station parking lot they pull up to a pay phone. Directly past the phone parked parallel to the curb is a hard-top Jeep/Land Cruiser type vehicle. The scene then cuts to Shockley and the constable getting out of the police car. The scene then cuts back to a view of the pay phone and the Jeep is gone and a Suburban-type vehicle is now parked perpendicular to the curb. Not enough time (only a few seconds) had elapsed between the two scenes for the Jeep to leave and the Suburban to park and the driver to leave the vehicle (it was empty).

Crew or equipment visible

When the helicopter crashes into the power lines, the copter is obviously a shell. The lack of an engine, and the mechanism where it is tied to the power lines is clearly visible.

Errors in geography

Upon learning that Shockley has hijacked a bus in Wickenburg Arizona and is en route, Blakelock announces that it will be three hours before the bus arrives in Phoenix, 150 miles away. Actually, the two cities are only about 50 miles apart - a distance that can easily be traveled in an hour or so.

Factual errors

In Las Vegas the odds for a horse called "Mally No Show" keep increasing. It is revealed that there is no such horse and it gambling device to show that the mob is betting that Shockley will fail to get the witness to court. However, horse racing uses Parimutuel betting. Therefore, you cannot bet that a horse will lose. In parimutuel betting the odds of one horse goes up because more money is bet on other horses to win.

Even though the route Shockley and Gus was supposedly cleared of all traffic and pedestrians, people can be seen in parking lots along the route and vehicles can be seen crossing intersections just behind them.

When Shockley tells the remaining bikers to leave a motorcycle for him, he points his revolver at the bikers - but the chambers are obviously empty.

Factual errors

In the big final scene, there is no way that police could line up on both sides of the street, and finally surround the bus, and fire over 8,000 shots at the bus and have no stray bullets hit one of the officers.
