As a cruel joke, billionaire William Randolph Hughes planted a series of boxes around the Southwest, in the hopes that someone would find them. The first box told the discoverer that an enormous fortune was buried in a box somewhere, along with directions to the hiding place. When the box is uncovered, however, all it contains is instructions on how to find the next box, and so on. As luck would have it, the first box is discovered by several people at once, leading to a frantic chase from one hiding spot to the next in the hopes that one of them will finally hold the loot. This is a movie which seems to be based on its a mad mad mad mad world, but the plot centers around a septic tank cleaner, and the gold is not under two palm trees, its in a septic tank in Mexico. Numerous half-wit characters are involved in this, and they are sent to many different places (including a strip-club, a funeral home and a place known for having the largest avocado in the U.S. I don't know how I ended up seeing this, but I wouldn't wish this film on my worst enemy.
