Trivia

The song "In The Big Rock Candy Mountain" was written near the end of the 1800s and was an ironic look at what everyone, but especially hobos, were searching for. It was "cleaned up" for this cartoon since the original mentions "cigarette trees" and streams of alcohol trickling through the rocks.

The three singing chickens are introduced as the "Hendrews Sisters". This is a takeoff on the famous Andrews Sisters, a trio who were recording stars through the 1940s and into the 1950s.
