First of all I didn't think that I'll find THIS TV-Series in the IMDb database.. That was a SURPRISE. But when I found that THIS had lasted for 31 Seasons OH GOD.. That was one hell of a smash SURPRISE which hit me right on the face!!
I used to watch (The Old Fox) as a child in the late 1980s every Wednesday night on our national TV at the end of a program which showed a lot of foreign songs, numbers, and one episode every week from a non-Egyptian series (without commercials at all), so we had the pleasure of watching some of the most enjoyable and successful shows such as (Charlie's Angels, Mission: Impossible, MacGyver...) and a lot of what you will find in my golden list of the greatest shows ever. But when it comes to (the old ..) it's totally another list !!
It was the silliest, top of the sleaziness and also so unforgettable because its dull look, very snail-paced move, and the scary level of being corny ! I still have nightmares of Siegfried Lowitz as Kommissar Erwin Köster !! AND NOW I discover the horrific fact about that long continuity of it for 31 years !! (from 1977 to 2007 and so on !). Why is that ? Is it the only show in Germany ?! No body committed suicide yet because its Horrible condition ?!! Or maybe it became good by the years ?? I do not know, the only thing I know is that when I wrote my list of the worst TV shows ever in 2005 I selected (The Old Fox) at the top for sure with : CSI, Star Trek: Enterprise and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
One other thing to add; don't you notice that there are just 2 comments about this series till 2007 (and mine is the third) ?? Isn't it a strange thing ?!!, putting in mind the long, very long, time which it had over 30 years. It's just a question with NO good intention !
