Storyline

Continuing the adventures of the Justice League, this incarnation of the show replaced Marvin, Wendy, and Wonder Dog with the Wonder Twins. Zan and Jayna, from the planet Exor, possessed shape shifting powers; Zan could become any form of water or ice, while Jayna could assume the shape of any animal. Assisted by their pet monkey Gleek, they not only helped the Justice Leaguers but lent assistance to teenagers in trouble. In addition to the classic Superman/Batman/Robin/Aquaman/Wonder Woman lineup, guests such as the Flash, the Atom, Green Lantern, and Hawkman & Hawkwoman appeared occasionally. Trivia

Batman and Robin were also featured in their own cartoon series, The New Adventures of Batman (1977), produced by Filmation and airing on CBS. This marks perhaps the only time in which the same character was featured simultaneously on two different TV series, produced by separate companies and airing on rival networks. See more »

Wondering about The Wonder Twins
20 June 2004 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I like this show better than the first one, but liked "Challenge Of The SuperFriends" better than this one. Why? Because of the Wonder Twins and that annoying monkey thing that was with him (How did it ALWAYS manage to have a bucket when Zan turns into water?). It would have been nice to have more info on them. Also, why was the Wonder Twins limited to turning into animals and water (Or something with water, like icicles)? Finally, on their own (When they had their segments that teaches kids a "valuable lesson"), they did o.k., but they screwed up a lot when working with the SuperFriends. Am I the only one who noticed this? Probably not. Personally, I would like to have the episodes, just to scream in sugar-induced hysteria, "WONDER TWIN POWERS, ACTIVATE!!!" I would scream either "FORM OF A WATER SPOUT!" or "SHAPE OF A SNAKE!" Then I would fall to the ground, writhing around, covered in water!

O.K. Seriously (And with all the sugar hallucinations gone), this was a pretty good series. Great for people who love 70's cartoons or any cartoon.
