Character error

Shimon Peres continually mispronounces Yonatan Netanyahu's nickname. It's Yoni with a long o to rhyme with Joanie. He pronounces it to rhyme with Johnny.

Continuity

The footage used to depict flight 139 on the ground shows a plane with the test color scheme Air France adopted only on its Airbus A300 (light blue line under the windows). All the other scenes show the older Air France colors (navy cheat-line on the windows).

The aircraft is an Airbus A300, accurately depicted with the passenger cabin and exterior shots, but the flight deck is from a McDonnell Douglas DC-10, with its very distinctive autopilot console and flight engineer panel showing three engine switches (the A300 has two engines).

Revealing mistakes

During what is supposed to be the second take-off scene, the aircraft is rolling on the runway with its nose up, but spoilers raised, indicating that landing stock footage was used instead.
