Hollywood action film star Rafe Stoker has sunk $130,000 of his own money into his own production, but can't find legitimate financing to complete the film. His mob-connected investor demands an exorbitant amount of collateral and a guarantee that Rafe hand over a commercially acceptable film in 4 weeks, then hires a gang of psycho bikers to sabotage the picture to ensure he collects Stoker's collateral. As if a cranky local cop and bad weather didn't slow production enough, Crazy Harvey decides to take Rafe out of the picture after Rafe shows him up once too often. Written by

many biker flicks were made during the late sixties and early seventies, but one stands out as the hallmark of all biker flicks and that is, "hollywood man, which shows the true toils of trying to make a biker flick on a shoe string budget, limited shooting schdueles, mob money and the blood of other people. the lead character is played in earnest by the great king of the biker flicks himself, william smith. the story is a somewhat true bio of mr. smiths experiences on these films. the film was written by mr. smith and the terrific character actor ray girardin(why is this wonderful actor not working more?!) who is reminiscent of old time great actor ralph meeker, he plays the heavy "harvey". the film is directed by my fav actor/director jack starrett. mary woronov is always great in anything and here she says more with just silences. the rest of cast is perfect. i hope that soon some dvd company ie: anchor bay will do this movie justice and re release it with comentary with mr. girardin and mr. smith, that would be really awesome!!!! i recommend also "run angel run" starring william smith in the title role and also directed by jack starrett, another true to art biker flim. i just love this movie!!!!
