Quotes:
Susan: Is doing it with your patients considered part of the cure?Paul: Heh, no, I'm sorry to say it isn't. You know that it's symptomatic of this kind of neurosis to want to go to bed with your analyst. You can find it in the works of Freud, for example.
Susan: I can? Up your fat fanny with you and your Freud!

Bitto Albertini directed the original "Black Emanuelle", but after that, the infamous Joe D'Amato took not only his star Laura Gemser but seemingly his whole cinematic style. His films afterward, like "Yellow Emanuelle" and this one, are NOTHING like the original. This movie for some reason finds Emanuelle in a mental institution suffering from amnesia. A kind-hearted psychiatrist tries to help her regain her memory and mend her relationship with her husband, an American basketball star. She also makes friends with a white bisexual nymphomaniac which naturally leads to many different permutations of interracial lesbian sex, interracial straight sex, and interracial three-way sex, as well as some standard black-on-black action.
The "new Black Emanuelle" Sharon Lesley, unlike Laura Genser, does appear to actually be at least half black, and she and her husband are presented like somewhat real characters rather than primitive, grunting savages as in many other Italian exploitation films (How do you say "politically correct" in Italian?--you don't!).
This movie most recently appeared as part of the second "Black Emanuelle" box set. The most interesting part of it might be a short interview extra with gorgeous co-star Dagmar Lassander (who is considerably larger and less gorgeous nowadays, but oh well). Lassander not only has a nice gratuitous nude scene in this movie, but her whole role as the psychiatrist's neglected wife is pretty gratuitous as well. Still she is probably the most interesting thing in this pretty forgettable movie.
