The Raid: Redemption (2011)
Gareth Evans said "The original Assault taught me to be economical and how to sell this illusion of large groups of gangs outside trying to burst their way in. We didn't have a big budget, so we couldn't afford to have hundreds of extras. When it came to the shootout where they drop through the hole in the floor, you get the feeling there are 50 people outside and people underneath trying to come through the hole... but you see about five people maximum. The rest is all audio. There's a great scene in Precinct 13 where the lights go out and then all of a sudden there's hundreds of snipers outside shooting. We don't see them because it's pitch-black, all we do is hear the glass smashing- but you get the feeling of them being surrounded and totally outnumbered."
