Desiree lives deep in the swamp and supports herself and her siblings by poaching. Ben and deputy Billy hope to get a little sexual comfort from the "Cajun swamp rat" when they catch Desiree trapping 'gators, and give chase. Desiree outsmarts them but Billy accidentally shoots Ben and tells his sheriff dad that Desiree did it. Ben's dad and sons join them in the search party and quickly get out of control. Soon the hunters become the hunted as Desiree exacts her revenge for their violence against her family. Written by Ed Sutton <esutton@mindspring.com>
Having watched a later movie by the Sebastian family, Rocktober Blood, I decided to give this one a try. How to describe this movie, well, it falls neatly somewhere in between the Dukes of Hazzard TV show and the movie Day of the Woman, and appeals or offends to that effect in equal doses. If you are expecting an experience as harrowing & disturbing as the aforesaid movie you won't get a proper fixin', but if you want as many stupid grins as the said TV show you may git some of what yer after. It brings a tear to my eye that Drive-In movies are dead, since I have never been to one, but while watching this movie I thought about what the audience reaction might be like in that context, with young Leonard Maltin hootin' and a holleriin'...Yee-Haw!
